Map: Shangri La Performance
The Shangri La DM map is a bit harder on the graphics system; the frame rates were consistently lower across all of our tested cards. At 1600×1200 these three cards don’t even blink at it though.
The 2048×1536 resolution begins to push harder though and the 8800 GTS 640MB card struggles a bit more than the HD 2900 XT, falling 13% behind. The 8800 GTX however is still the dominant card with a 12% lead on the AMD’s top contender.
At our top resolution the 8800 GTX is the only card that had the butter-smooth gameplay I expected, though both of the other cards were playable. And once again, AMD’s HD 2900 XT takes the win over NVIDIA’s 640MB GTS card.
