A Detailed Look

The ABS Tagan ITZ1300 power supply enclosure has a brilliant blue electroplate finish, which really adds some bling to this power supply but is also easily scratched, so be careful when installing it. The enclosure is 175mm (6-7/8”) deep and uses two 80mm fans in a push pull arrangement for cooling.

The speed of both fans is automatically controlled by the internal component temperature (speeds up as the combined load and temperature increases). The front 80mm x 25mm fan is made by GlobeFan (S0802512HD) while the smaller 80mm x 15mm rear fan is made by Top Motor (DF128015BU).

Slots on the front of the chassis provide additional airflow and cooling for the internal components.

As you would expect, the ITZ1300 power supply has a full assortment of cables and connectors, which are hard-wired into the chassis. The cables are covered with braided plastic mesh sleeving all the way to the end connectors and measure approximately 20” to 22” long. The six PCI-E connectors are color coded to help evenly distribute power between multiple cards. Only the cables with blue and orange connectors are labeled PCI-E while the other two six pin connectors (black) are intended for use with Physics cards (the 6-pin PCI-E connectors are the same).
