A Detailed Look (Cont’d)
Once the cover is removed we can get a good look at the layout and components inside the ITZ1300 1,300W power supply. It appears Tagan has once again selected Topower as the OEM for this unit. The dual transformers labeled with Topower part numbers leave little doubt as to who the manufacturer is… 🙂
On the primary side is a pair of Japanese capacitors rated for 85°C.
The general layout and build appears to be good. As expected, the secondary side is very busy with a lot of wiring going on. The secondary side is also populated with Japanese capacitors instead of some lower cost alternatives.

And last but not least, two views inside with the fans removed. Note the classic mushroom shaped heatsinks.

At this point I can’t help but feel a little, well concerned. The ITZ1300 just doesn’t look like a 1,300W power supply, or at least it doesn’t have the same look and feel as some other power supplies I have reviewed recently in the 1,000W to 1,200W range. However, we are about to find out what the ITZ1300 is capable of.
