3DMark06 v1.1.0
The new Futuremark 3DMark06 benchmark was released many months ago and has already become a popular test for GPU benchmarks and CPUs as well. You can see Ryan’s full overview of the benchmark, what it has to offer over the 2005 version and some other initial scores from his previous article.
The synthetic 3DMark06 testing showed the EN8600GT as having a slight edge in most of the individual tests. The HD2900XT came out on top by a large margin in except for the SM3.0 and Pixel Shader tests, which was a little surprising considering the pixel and texture fill rates on the RV630XT is much smaller than the G84.
