As [H]ard|OCP rightly points out in their huge cooler roundup article, the CPU coolers of just a few years ago would feel quite inadequate next to the ones enthusiasts use today. They would probably only feel comfortable around chipset coolers, something that didn’t need to exist in the days of the K7.
