World in Conflict (DirectX 10)


An incredibly detailed RTS game, World in Conflict allows you to look at your troops from a bird’s eye view as well as zooming to street level to get hands on with the combat.  As you get closer, the game only looks better, as the scaling detail is incredible making this title an easy pick for DX10 benchmarking.

The World in Conflict game is very much CPU bound, though the GPU does matter in the overall gameplay experience.  Here we see the XFX 8800 GT performs just about at the same level as the GTS card.

Once we move into an SLI configuration, the 8800 GTS 640MB cards see the lead open up slightly though the 8800 GT is still faster than what AMD’s HD 2900 XT are capable of.
