Crysis (DirectX 10)


Without a doubt the most breath taking game I have seen yet, Crysis is from the developers of Far Cry, yet another title that was ahead of its time.  This game will bring any system to its knees, but look good doing it.

Yep, these are correct.  This is playing Crysis at 1024×768 with all (or most at least) of the goodies turned on with some AA to smooth things out.  The new 8800 GTS 512 makes a good showing, falling behind the GTX card by only a few frames per second, but still; getting under 30 with the FLAGSHIP card from NVIDIA is just ridiculous.

If running the game at High was a mistake, then trying Very High is a laugh riot.  The GTS 512 again does very well in relation to the other NVIDIA cards on the test bench but 13.7 FPS isn’t getting us anywhere.  Boy, here is that area where 3-way SLI would be great…
