Quick Performance Tests
As has been the case with most platform chipset updates over recent years, the advantages from chipset to chipset are relatively small if even noticeable at all. In this case, we are testing a G33 motherboard against an Intel 965 motherboard. The venerable 965 chipset should give our readers a good indication as to the upgrade potential available with the GA-G33M-S2H.Here is our test setup for the following benchmarks:

The results during our performance tests concluded there were minimal improvements in performance between the GA-G33M-S2H and the P5B Deluxe. To be fair, the 965 chipset has had a lot more time to mature and be refined by Intel. The G33 chipset is almost six months old now, and has a lot more other valuable features users should consider other than the typical performance boosts we see in different chipsets.
