[H]ard|OCP has really enjoyed seeing Ultra’s X3 line of PSUs excelling and giving them a great reputation for powering enthusiast’s rigs.  Unfortunately the new Ultra X3 600W breaks that record, although it would make an outstanding 480W PSU.  While creating the review, [H] realized that they have reviewed this PSU before, and were disappointed by it then.  It turns out that the only thing new on the PSU is the X3 branding.

“This 600 watt PSU makes our 5th Ultra power supply we have reviewed since March of 2007. While most have been award winners, our last 600 watt unit was not worthy of passing our testing suite. Is Ultra’s new 600 watt up to the test?”
