NVIDIA PoliciesCreating these profiles is fun and all, but what can you do with them? After spending hours and hours creating a gaming, home theater, and quiet profile, you can assign them to be enabled when certain events occur or applications are loaded.
If you have ever setup rules for your Outlook box, this is very much the same type of thing. You can load a specific profile, display a warning message, enact a warning tone or launch an application when the conditions in the boxes are met.
Conditions that can set off an action include loading a specific game, temperature level of a specific indicator, when a DVD is playing, etc. Obviously these can be used to create some interesting relationships.
A “pop up warning message” as a possible Action in the Policies setup
For example, you can load up your Crysis Profile when you start Crysis that overclocks your CPU while you can load up the Gaming Profile for all other titles that overclocks the GPU. Then you can set it to load the Quiet Profile when you are listening to music or watching a video. The possibilities are endless, and endlessly complex.
