“Hiper aims for the enthusiast with a new 880 watt computer power supply that seems to have all of its ducks in line. After the crushing despair caused by the failure of the Ultra X2 to provide any more than half of it’s rated power, [H]ard|OCP brushed themselves off and jumped back in the game with a review of Hiper’s Type-M 880w PSU. This unit showed off some nice strengths, from almost silent operation to keeping efficiency above 80% during the torture test. There are balancing negatives however, with the near silent operation resulting in very high temperatures and some serious DC ripple on the 12V line. Hiper is showing off some class as well, when [H] contacted them about the ripple, Hiper acknowledged the issue and assured [H] that they are currently working on the problem
