NVIDIA SLI: Crysis

Crysis (DirectX 10)

Without a doubt the most breath taking game I have seen yet, Crysis is from the developers of Far Cry, yet another title that was ahead of its time.  This game will bring any system to its knees, but look good doing it.

Another title we had high hopes for was Crysis – after all the game developers themselves have been quoted about the benefits of quad-core CPUs in their game.  Surely 8-cores is even better?  Maybe, but not by much.  In our SLI testing, Skulltrail performed on par with the standard test bed at 1024×768 while at 1280×1024 the difference was more apparent with the Skulltrail platform offering a 28% higher minimum frame rate and a slight edge in overall frame rate.

With a single card though, Skulltrail was behind yet again indicating that CPU power alone isn’t enough to make this game playable.
