Synthetic and Memory Tests
The latest edition of SiSoft Sandra continues on the tradition of testing the purely synthetic power of the processors to see how much performance software developers might be able to pull out of them.
The results in the CPU and Multimedia tests speak for themselves – the potential for the dual-CPU Skulltrail system with eight total cores of processing power is impressive.
Unfortunately, this is the main performance draw back on our Skulltrail testing platform: the FB-DIMM DDR2-800 memory is the slowest of all our results here and we’ll this manifest itself in some places throughout testing.
