Under the Hood
Here are a few pictures showing the layout and components inside the Turbo-Cool 860W power supply.  As you can see, there is little wasted space inside the enclosure and the layout of components is unique.  This results in a very compact chassis for a PSU capable of delivering 860W.  Overall, the build quality appears to be excellent.

As with previous Turbo-Cool models, PC Power & Cooling is using Win-Tact as their OEM for the Turbo-Cool 860W PSU.  PC Power & Cooling has maintained a long-standing, exclusive partnership with Win-Tact at both the engineering and manufacturing levels.  PC Power & Cooling claims 100% ownership of the designs, tooling, safety certifications, product rights, and distribution rights.  In fact “PC Power & Cooling” is printed right on the main PCB.  So don’t get the idea you’re going to find this same PSU somewhere else with a different name on it; you won’t.

With the fan removed you can see how the copper bridge is used to connect the small copper heatsinks to the larger aluminum heatsink.  There just isn’t enough real estate available in the middle to allow using all aluminum heatsinks.  It appears copper is being used instead to conduct heat out of tight areas to the larger surface area provided by the aluminum heatsink.
