Main Cooling Unit – Internal View (C0nt’d)
The majority of the Aquaduct 360 XT’s mid section is filled with a large dual pass Airplex Pro radiator and three 120mm Airstream cooling fans.
If you look closely at the picture above you can see that the fans are mounted so they pull air in through the front grills and blow air through the radiator and out the back grills.
Moving down to the bottom of the unit brings us to the pump, flow sensor and all the related tubing and fittings. The Eheim 1001 DC pump is controlled by the Aquaero, which allows tweaking many of the pump’s operating parameters. The heavy black base plate appears to incorporate internal water passages that helps simplify the overall plumbing.
A paddle-wheel style flow control is mounted beside the pump and reports water coolant flow to the Aquaero controller.
Note: Numerous O-rings are used to seal the various water chambers along with sealing the two finned aluminum side columns to the top and bottom sections.
