As strange as it may sound after the original experience most had with Vista and it’s hardware requirements, it is now possible to set up a Vista PC for ~$350, with a copy of that much maligned OS included. ExtremeTech has the list, and some quick pictorial instructions on installing the hardware. Don’t expect to be using the Aero interface though, Solitaire will be fairly graphics intense for this budget PC.
