ASUS is hoping to revolutionize the low-cost desktop market much in the same way the changed the world of cheap notebooks with the Eee PC. Unfortunately for ASUS, world+dog has already implemented and copied on the Eee PC success and I don’t think it will take those same companies as long to replicate the design aspects of the Eee Box as well.
ASUS plans to have the Eee Box on sale in mid-July for prices ranging $269 to $299 depending on your specifications and operating system. Both Windows XP and Linux are going to be available, just as we saw with the most recent ASUS Eee PC notebooks.
PS: does anyone else think they should have saved the name “Eee PC” for this desktop model?
