Computex 2008 - Power Supplies, Cooling and Cases - Cases and Cooling 46

Silverstone is one a few new companies looking to expand outside their current product segmentation with a new mouse.  The Silverstone mouse supports independent X and Y optical resolutions with multiple presets or adjustments on the fly.  The bright blue ball looking thing by the thumb is a scroll wheel with various uses, including desk illumination!

They were also showing the new RAVEN case for the first time – Silverstone’s first plastic design for aesthetics at a modest cost.  This is an early mock up of the design but you can see it’s a pretty sexy looking case with a face plate covering the optical drive bay.

What makes this case unique is the layout of the design – the internal components are rotated clockwise 90 degrees!  They claim that since heat rises (duh) this layout should remove any potential dead spots of hot air inside.

Another new chassis from Silverstone should make a lot of people happy – the Fortress FT01B-W is a smaller and cheaper version of the wildly popular, but incredibly expensive Temjin TJ07.

The company also had a pair of interesting power supplies including a 700 watt power supply they are claiming gets 90% efficiency (at some loads) and a the completely passively cooled Zero dBA 450 watt model.
