Much ado about the GPU
Thanks to the incredibly hot graphics card market right now, the graphics forum is hopping. A lot of the talk is about nVIDIA’s stock and the big tumble that it just took. Others are focusing on the reason the stock went into free fall; there is a good chance that most, if not all, of the G84 and G86 mobile chips are bad. The other big news is AMD’s stellar 48xx series, and thoughts about how the 4870 X2 will perform. Those that actually have one of the cards are more than satisfied with their purchase.
