Under the Hood
Here are a few pictures showing the layout and components inside the OCZ EliteXStream 1000W power supply.  The overall layout, build quality and component selection appears to be excellent.

OCZ selected Impervio Electronics Co. Ltd. as their OEM partner to build the EliteXStream 1000W PSU.  Impervio is a relatively new company (2006) but you may have seen the results of their efforts before under the Silverstone label.

The EliteXStream power supply incorporates dual transformers, which is fairly common in power supplies with output capacities reaching 1,000 watts.

The primary uses three high-quality Hitachi brand capacitors rated for 330uF, 420V, and 105°C – very good.

Over on the secondary side, underneath all the distribution wiring and cables, are mostly Teapo electrolytic caps along with a few solid polymer caps on the OCP/OVP/OPP/fan speed control riser card.
