Rendering Performance
If I expected to see the HyperThreading found on Intel Atom 230 processor to help out anywhere it was going to be on POV-Ray or CineBench, the most thread-happy tests in this short suite. That wasn’t the case though and in fact VIA’s Nano processor is more than 32% faster on just a single thread.
Similar to how our MP3 encoding test was run, the Atom CPU had an “advantage” of being able to run the multi-threaded version of the CineBench test but still fell behind the Nano CPU by more than 30%.
