First – AMD gets a big knock on them for completely useless CrossFireX on 3DMark Vantage – the screen was completely awash with random polygons and though we got a score at the end it wasn’t trust worthy at all.  Looking at the single HD 4870 X2 2GB and the GeForce GTX 280 1GB we see AMD getting another big win.

We do have scores from the CrossFireX configuration on these synthetic tests – take them with a grain of salt.  Just looking at the two primary competitors, the 4870 X2 and GTX 280, you can see that AMD wins all the tests with the exception of the GPU cloth simulation.
