3DMark06
The Futuremark 3DMark06 benchmark was released many moons ago and has become a popular test for GPU benchmarks and CPUs as well.  You can see my full overview of the new benchmark, what it has to offer over the 2005 version and some other initial scores from my previous article.

The 3DMark06 score itself is rather diluted now with the power of these cards but the synthetic scores are still interesting.  In those the GTX 280 card is getting demolished in all the results compared to the HD 4870 X2 with the exception of the fill rate tests where they are basically equal.
