HDTune 3.00
HDTune tests a similar level of features that HDTach does, but with a slightly different access pattern and thus can provide us with an additional set of benchmark numbers to compare between storage configurations. Here we can get the minimum, maximum and average transfer rates as well as the burst rates, access times and CPU utilizations.
HDTune is another storage testing suite that runs in a similar fashion to HDTach though the results are good for comparison. Burst speeds are again pretty close between Intel X25-M and the other competitors like the VelociRaptor and OCZ 64GB SSD. The average transfer rates, minimum, maximum and average, are all within a few MB/s on the Intel X25-M drive and are MUCH faster than any other configuration with the exception of the pair of WD VelociRaptors.
