A Detailed Look – From the Outside
The NZXT Tempest mid-tower case features a steel chassis with plastic trim pieces which results in a very attractive enclosure that is both sturdy and economical to produce. The clean lines and conservative styling are sure to appeal to a large enthusiast market.
Both side panels are removable. The left side panel features a large clear acrylic window and is secured with two thumb screws. The plain right side panel is secured with two machine screws.

The left side panel comes with a single 120mm intake fan pre-installed that incorporates blue LEDs.

The front of the Tempest enclosure features nine external 5.25” drive bays covered with black mesh grills and surrounded by a black plastic bezel. The six lower bays contain two removable HDD cages that can each hold up to four HDDs. If you don’t need eight HDDs, one of the drive cages can be removed to free up three more external 5.25” bays.

The front bezel can be easily removed (snaps into place) for access to the front of the drive bays. Note the wires leading to LED lights embedded into the sides of the front bezel for Power On and HDD Activity.

Each internal HDD cage is cooled by its own 120mm front intake fan with blue LEDs.
