Internal Evaluation
Internal construction and build quality of the AVADirect system is pretty clean though I have to say systems from Dell or Alienware have shown to be much more concise in their cable management.
Clearly the connections are tied up well and all the various components in the system are easily accessible. AVADirect even uses some cable extensions to make the runs of between the power supply and motherboard, etc cleaner.
Featured in this shot is the Thermalright heatsinks, OCZ memory modules and the BFG GeForce 9800 GTX+ graphics card. The XFX-branded nForce 790i Ultra SLI motherboard holds all the components in check.
Below the motherboard sits the Thermaltake 850 watt Toughpower unit that uses modular cables for a cleaner installation. Notice that there is air intake below the power supply and that the case includes an air filter to help with dust and other junk getting inside the computer.
The Cosmos S case has a removable 3.5″ bay for hard drives that can hold up to 4 units though you can expand that into the many 5.25″ bays above it.
This angle shows all the bays from the hard drives up to the two optical drives at the top of the 5.25″ line. You can also see that all of the bays are tool less and use a simple push button retention mechanism.
On the reverse side of the case the Cosmos S allows some area for better cable management but nothing else too exciting.
Thats a really sick build!
Thats a really sick build! AVA direct has some really good systems, plus that cooler master case is soo nice.
