World in Conflict

World in Conflict (DirectX 10)

An incredibly detailed RTS game, World in Conflict allows you to look at your troops from a bird’s eye view as well as zooming to street level to get hands on with the combat.  As you get closer, the game only looks better, as the scaling detail is incredible making this title an easy pick for DX10 benchmarking.

The Radeon HD 4550 and the Galaxy 9500 GT are competitive once again though the lead goes to NVIDIA’s GPU here by about 10-12% at both resolutions.  The Radeon HD 4350 is completely playable at 12×10 though so is impressively capable for such a low cost card.  The S3 Chrome 440 GTX attempts to hang in there but I am afraid the quality settings would have to be taken down another notch to get it within striking distance of the AMD and NVIDIA solutions.
