3DMark06
The Futuremark 3DMark06 benchmark was released many moons ago and has become a popular test for GPU benchmarks and CPUs as well.  You can see my full overview of the benchmark, what it has to offer over the 2005 version and some other initial scores from my previous article.

The Galaxy 9500 GT has a lead in the synthetic performance numbers of 3DMark06 nearly across the board though the HD 4550 does have a faster pixel shading core apparently.  What is more interesting is how competitive the S3 Chrome 440 GTX looks in the actual 3DMark default score even though it has less than 50% of the pixel shading power of the HD 4350.
