A Detailed Look – At the Outside
The Hiper Osiris mid-tower case features all aluminum construction, which results in a sturdy yet lightweight enclosure. All of the exposed surfaces are brushed aluminum. The clean lines, rounded edges and conservative styling are sure to appeal to a large enthusiast market. Both side panels are removable and are secured with easy to use, tool-less latches. Spring loaded hinges at the bottom of each side panel make removal and installation quite easy.
The left side panel features a large acrylic window that incorporates a metal grid EMI shield. And as you can see, the build quality is excellent.
The front of the Osiris enclosure features a removable aluminum bezel that contains five external 5.25” drive bays on top. Two of the bays are fitted with bay covers to help retain the clean brushed aluminum look when installing one or two ODDs. Note the authentic Egyptian hieroglyph (Osiris – Egyptian god of the overworld) laser-etched into the top right corner of the front bezel.
Located at the bottom of the front panel is a square air intake neatly trimmed with a matching, sculptured metal grill. Behind this grill sits the front 120mm intake fan, which blows cool outside air in over the internal HDD cage.
The front bezel can be easily removed (pulls off – snaps back into place) for access to the front of the drive bays. Note the 3.5” bay adapter that comes installed just above the HDD cage. It can be used in this position for mounting a fifth internal HDD or moved up into one of the 5.25” external bays for a universal card reader or some other 3.5” bay device.
