Bioshock (DirectX 10)

An impressive FPS-based game with a great story, Bioshock impresses with both graphics and its ability to drag you along in the gameplay.  It has both DX9 and DX10 render paths and should make a great benchmark for graphics cards promising the best of both worlds.

The Radeon HD 4850 X2 needs a higher resolution than 1600×1200 to really stand out from the other graphics cards in our Bioshock testing, but once we do go higher the performance gain for Sapphire’s new card is impressive.  The HD 4850 X2 is 49% faster than the GeForce GTX 280 at 2560×1600 and has a 35% higher minimum frame rate than the best NVIDIA offered.
