The fan speed is automatically controlled by the internal component temperature (speeds up as the combined load and temperature increases) via an onboard controller.  The 140mm, 11 blade fan (RL4Z-S1352512H) is manufactured by Globe Fan and incorporates sleeve bearings.  It is rated for .45A when operating on 12 VDC.
