Under the Hood
Here are a few pictures showing the layout and components inside the Antec Signature Series 850W power supply.  The overall layout, build quality and component selection appears to be very good as we would expect.  Antec appears to be using Delta Electronics, a new partner for them to build the Signature Series PSUs.  Delta has been around for many years supplying numerous OEMs.

Just taking the cover off doesn’t get you very far inside this PSU.  The Signature Series 850W power supply uses two PCBs with airflow in between; the reason for the rear mounted 80mm fan.

On the primary side we find two high-quality Rubycon caps, which are rated for 390uF, 450V and 105°C.

The Signature Series 850W power supply uses DC to DC converters (under the copper plate) to produce +3.3V and +5V from the main +12V section.
