Final Thoughts and Conclusions

Antec raises the bar with the introduction of their new Signature Series 850W PSU.  The Signature 850 has excellent voltage regulation, exceptionally clean DC outputs, and operates very efficiently.  Antec includes a good compliment of both fixed and modular cables/connectors and backs the Signature 850 with a 5-year warranty.  If you are looking for a top quality PSU in the 850W range, this one will be hard to beat.

The MSRP for the Antec Signature Series 850W power supply is $299.99 USD but it can be found online for $259.99. 


Strengths:
    850W continuous DC output (up to 50°)
    Very good voltage regulation
    Excellent efficiency across a broad range of loads
    Minimal AC ripple and noise on the DC outputs
    Very quiet at all but the highest power levels
    Four +12V output can deliver up to 65A combined load
    Four PCI-E connectors support high-end graphic adapters
    Active PFC with universal AC input
    80-Plus Bronze and NVIDIA SLI-ready certified
    AQ5 – Antec Quality 5-Year parts and labor warranty

Minor Weaknesses:
    A little noisy at higher loads
