This version of the LAME MP3 encoder is multi-threaded and takes advantage of two threads.
Handbrake
Known mainly for its DVD re-encoding prowess, our test uses the Handbrake command line interface.
Our media encoding and rendering scores between the various X58 motherboards are pretty much identical. While Gigabyte and MSI boards vary with the components they chose to include, the “heart and brains” of each rests with the X58/ICH10R chipset and the i7-920.
