Installation
I will be using an Intel LGA775 CPU and motherboard for testing. The Instruction Sheet includes step by step instructions for installing the cooler on both Intel and AMD platforms.Prior to installation, the CPU IHS and the SpinQ base were cleaned with isopropyl alcohol before applying a small amount of Thermaltake’s thermal compound to the top of the CPU.
The first step is to install the two LGA775 mounting brackets onto the bottom of the cooler base with the provided screws.
Once everything is ready you just carefully set the cooler in position and push down on the pins to lock them in place. (Be sure the pins are rotated into the lock position before installing.)
Overall, the SpinQ CPU cooler proved very easy to install onto my LGA775 test bed. Even though the cooler is relatively large, clearance around the socket area components was good and there were no problems with interference.
