Four ways to an AM3
The Asus M4A78T-E, Gigabyte’s GA-MA790FXT-UD5P, a Jetway HA08 and MSI’s 790FX-GD70 are all compared in a big motherboard round up at The Tech Report. Each and every one of these boards can be picked up for less than $200 and support DDR3 along with the Phenom II, making them rather attractive competitors to the Core i7 when you consider the entry fee. The tests were run using Corsair CM3X1024-1333C9DHX DDR3 SDRAM at 1333MHz and a Phenom II X3 720 Black Edition 2.8GHz
processor; head over to see how well they all performed.
