Detailed Look at the SS-460H2U
This time the SS-460H2U’s utilitarian steel gray enclosure is 70mm high (2.7″), which should fit nicely inside a 2U form factor rack. And once again, the air inlet vents are located on the front end and top side of the enclosure for cooling.
The SS-460H2U PSU uses a single 60mm fan (ADDA AD0612HB-A70GL) to draw air thru the PSU and exhaust it out the backside. The fan speed is automatically controlled by the internal component temperature.
Just like we saw on the smaller SS-400H1U PSU, there are three connectors on the front of the SS-460H2U for attaching the modular cables.
Here are a few pictures showing the layout and components inside the Seasonic SS-460H2U power supply. And again, he overall layout, build quality and component selection appears to be very good.
High quality Nippon Chemi-Con electrolytic capacitors are used on both the primary and secondary sides. The primary cap is rated at 390uF, 450V and 105°C.
