Not as one sided as you might think
At first glance, The Tech Report is being very unfair in testing air cooling versus water cooling as we all know that water is more efficient at moving heat around. The custom built rigs with more than one radiator, wide tubing and powerful pumps tend to beat anything but LN cooling. However there is a point to the exercise as those custom cooling designs will run you hundreds of dollars. What if the tests were only done with self contained coolers costing less than $100? Suddenly when you bring value into the equation, the playing field levels out a bit. See it here.
