“Position in which Radeon HD 4770 found itself, at one moment, has been little bit unpleasant. Lack of available GPUs combined with huge demand can be nightmare situation for any GPU manufacturer. ATI’s Radeon HD 4730 uses a 700MHz 55nm RV770 GPU, not the 40nm tech that the HD4770 does, though the RAM is GDDR5 on both cards. This makes the HD4730 a bit of an odd duck, as it is more a bridge between the 4800 series and the 4770, a spot well filled by the HD4850. The HD4850 can be had, right now, for about $100; the 4770 has not yet arrived on the market but is expected to sell for around $80.
