“In the first Preview on eTeknix we are proud to introduce the first LGA-1156 motherboard in the UK, the Asus P7P55D Evo, which is designed to use the new Lynnfield processors that Intel will hopefully be releasing in a few months time. The first of these should be Core i5 750 clocked at 2.66 GHz and confusingly we should also see i7 1156 socket processors in early 2010 with the 860 and 870 clocked at 2.8 GHz and 2.93 GHz respectively. It’s worth mentioning before we get started that this preview is based on a pre-production motherboard, so some of the specifications may be altered before it goes in to mass production ready for a September release to coincide with Intel’s i5 launch.”Here are some more Motherboard articles from around the web:

Gigabyte isn’t the only LGA1156 board around
In amongst all the previews of the Gigabyte GA-P55-UD5, eTeknix spotted an ASUS P7P55D Evo
board. It is also a Lynnfield
board, with the new LGA1156 socket for Core i5s. As a P55 based board it can only manage dual-channel DDR3 which it can run at up to 1600MHz. 7.1 sound with Optical and Coaxial S/PDIF output, dual NICs
and a plethora of USB ports sit on the backplate. On the board it self you will find 2 PCI Express 2.0 x16 ports, 3 PCI Express 1x and even 2 ancient PCI slots. Check out the rest of the preview here.
