World in Conflict
World in Conflict (DirectX 10)
An incredibly detailed RTS game, World in Conflict allows you to look at your troops from a bird’s eye view as well as zooming to street level to get hands on with the combat. As you get closer, the game only looks better, as the scaling detail is incredible making this title an easy pick for DX10 benchmarking.
In a change of events, the HD 4770 took the top honors in our World in Conflict benchmark. This game is fairly old, but can still tax any GPU to its limits. Both the HD 4770 and GTS 250 recorded average FPS scores that were more than playable at high resolutions, but the 9600GT fell behind a bit and was a bit choppy during our testing at 1920×1200. The only playable frame rates we recorded for the 9600 GT was during our 1280×1024 tests.
