This rendering benchmark based off of the Cinema 4D engine is a terrific indicator for multi-threaded processing.

Handbrake
Known mainly for its DVD re-encoding prowess, our test uses the Handbrake command line interface.

The EX58-Extreme continues to showcase its multi-thread prowess in our Cinebench tests, and was even able to get the top score in the single-thread benchmark too. The only other board who beat it out was one of its brethren from Gigabyte’s stable of X58 boards. These benchmark results indicate that the EX58-Extreme is hungry to utilize processors with multiple cores and threads, which is the case with every LGA 1366 processor available. The optimizations Gigabyte made on this motherboard to take advantage of multiple cores is evident in these benchmarks scores.
