Final Thoughts and Conclusions
Seasonic has certainly raised the bar for others to follow. The new X Series incorporates several significant advances in PC power supply design that result in excellent performance, high efficiency and the ability to operate in silent-fanless mode at lower power levels. Moving the +3.3V and +5V VRMs to the modular DC connector board was a very smart move and I’m sure has many others wondering “why didn’t we think of that”? Add to that a wealth of all modular cables, green design innovations and a 5-year warranty and you have one of the best PC power supply units we have tested to date.
