PCMark Vantage

Futuremark’s newest benchmark suite, PCMark Vantage, was released earlier this year we published an initial article on the new software that looked at some CPU performance as well as providing overviews for all the individual testing suites it uses and what kind of applications they emulate.  The new Vantage software takes a much more real-world user-scenario approach to testing that previous PCMark software and as such deserves more time our benchmark analysis.

The 9300-ITX more than held its own during our PCMark Vantage tests and actually took the highest overall score over the 785G board. There are a variety of factors that could have caused this, but we did our best to use apples-to-apples hardware when we could during testing. We were very impressed with the Zotac board’s music and memories benchmark scores because HTPC users will definitely want to stream high-definition audio from this board onto their 5.1 surround sound systems at home.
