The new ultra-slim X-Slim X360 notebook uses a ULV Arrandale processor, and is likely going to be attractive to users looking for something more functional than a netbook, but in a small form factor.
There is also a quartet of new G-series gaming systems, the GT640 and GT 740, which use the new i7 mobile processors, and the GX640 and GX740, which use the new i5. These systems will be using discrete graphics, but no word on which vendor will be providing the GPU (AMD or NVIDIA).
Also announced were new All-in-One computers featuring multi-touch displays in 19″ and 24″ variety.
Perhaps more interesting are two new concepts being demoed at CES this year.
First is a HD e-book reader with a tactile touchscreen, dual displays, and wireless battery charging. It uses the Intel Menlow platform and comes equipped with Windows 7, an SSD drive, and WiFi. With features like this, it’s more a computer than an e-book reader.
Finally, there is a 15.6″ 3D notebook using NVIDIA 3D Vision and a 120Hz 3D LCD panel. Goofy 3D glasses included.
