The gaming results are quite impressive with the Asus G51J capable of running all games with high details without any real issue. While there were some recorded slow-downs in Dragon Age and Saboteur, these instances occured briefly when rendering a large complex scene.
For the native screen, the Asus G51J looks good and performs well. If using an attached display with higher resolutions, you will have to start scaling back the details in order to maintain a good playable frame rate.

The Asus G50VT, which is the predecessor to the G51J is superior in my opinion. It has a sexy red trim and that small OLED screen behind the keyboard. It can actually have more single core x86 performance than the G51J thanks to the X9100 Extreme processor, which you can overclock to 3.45, maybe 3.6GHZ 100% stable at full load.
The Forcecon fan is easily replaceable with a few screws, versus the G51J where I’ve heard you have to replace the whole heatsink to replace the fan.
