The latest version of SiSoft Sandra offers up a lot of new features including GPU performance testing and Nehalem processor support.
The Maximus III Gene flexed its muscles in the multimedia portion of our Sandra benchmarks, which really showcases the optimizations ASUS has made to this board to make it a gaming and HTPC powerhouse. It came in second place to the P55-UD6 in most of the other benchmarks, which doesn’t match the Gene’s motherboard class so it’s not the best “apples to apples” comparison. But, these results do show what consumes can expect from higher end ATX and micro ATX solutions.
