Testing Configuration and Benchmarks Used

We compared the EVGA P55 FTW against the ASUS P7P55D Deluxe, Intel DP55KG, and Gigabyte’s P55-UD6. The thought process behind our testing criteria was two-fold: to evaluate the P55 platform and analyze the performance gains, if any, that users will notice between different motherboards that utilize an LGA 1156 processor.

Our 64-bit test bench for LGA 1156 processors includes 4GBs of dual channel DDR3 memory, a GTS 250 512MB graphics card, and a Western Digital 160GB SATA hard drive for storage. This configuration is based off a typical mid-range users LGA 1156 system.
