X-Mode: NVIDIA and AMD cross-vendor scaling
Of course, here is where things get a little more interesting: our HYDRA X-mode testing that combines a GeForce GTX 285 and Radeon HD 5870 for some gaming goodness.

Our 3DMark Vantage scores scale by about 8% and 14% here with the combined NVIDIA and AMD graphics cards.
Batman: Arkham Asylum (DirectX 10)
One of the best received gaming titles on both console and PC for
2009, Batman: Arkham Asylum is an impressive game both visually and in
terms of design.

Batman is again one of our better scaling titles and in this case we see performance improvements of 24% at 1920×1200 and about 10% here at 2560×1600. What is interesting here is that even though the GTX 285 is the better performing card, we see decent scaling with the combination.
Tom Clancy’s H.A.W.X (DirectX 10)
An action-flight simulator game, H.A.W.X offers great visuals with easy flying mechanics and gameplay.

This is interesting: while at 1920×1200 we see a great 35% scaling rate in HAWX, our 2560×1600 resolution test is only gaining about 3.5% or so.
World in Conflict (DirectX 10)
An incredibly detailed RTS game, World in Conflict allows you to look at your troops from a bird’s eye view as well as zooming to street level to get hands on with the combat. As you get closer, the game only looks better, as the scaling detail is incredible making this title an easy pick for DX10 benchmarking.

In both of our World in Conflict tests the X-mode of HYDRA gives us about a 10% improvement in gaming performance.
