Removing the left side panel provides a good view inside the P193 enclosure.  Antec claims the chassis is divided into two chambers for better thermal management and noise control.  The upper chamber houses the motherboard, 5.25” ODD cage, and upper 3.5” HDD cage.  The lower section houses the power supply and lower 3.5” HDD cage.

Looking up into the motherboard chamber you can see the two 140mm Tri-Cool exhaust fans on top and the single 120mm Tri-Cool exhaust fan on the back.  There are a total of 7 expansion slots and each slot cover is held in place with a dedicated machine screw (no tool-less quick releases here).  The motherboard mounts on brass standoffs.

The P193 is designed to mount Mini-ITX, micro ATX, Standard ATX and Extended ATX motherboards, but as you can see there isn’t much extra room around the top and bottom of a standard ATX motherboard to work.  However, the depth of the P193 chassis has been extended, which gives more room for cable routing, larger PSUs, and longer graphic adapter cards.

The power supply is designed to mount in the bottom of the chassis, which helps keep the center of gravity low.  In many installations if you only have one or two HDDs installed in the lower cage the power supply fan should be able to generate enough airflow in the lower chamber to keep the drives acceptably cool.  Otherwise you can install an optional 120mm fan in front of the lower 3.5” HDD cage to generate more airflow.

Both the upper and lower 3.5” HDD cages are removable.  They are secured with a single thumb screw and just slide out when released.  The upper HDD cage is designed to mount one or two 3.5” drives in horizontal slide-out trays.  The lower HDD cage is designed to mount up to four 3.5” drives vertically.  All six of the 3.5” HDD mounting locations use silicone rubber grommets to minimize vibration and noise.  Optional 120mm fans can be mounted in front of either HDD cage if you want more airflow.

Taking off the right side panel exposes the area behind the motherboard tray and gives a feel for how cables might be routed and secured.
